so, you wanna know about me, huh? well, my name is jimbob and i live in chalk farm (london, uk) at the moment but i'm originally from nottingham, having lived there till i was 13. after that i moved to hook norton, a little village in the cotswolds where i stayed for 5 years before heading off to university in the big smoke.
after studying mixed media arts at the university of westminster, i worked in direct marketing for a while. this wasn't for me so i moved into IT to make some dough. it was a good learning experience, but i needed something more creative. i then joined a company called ucp who were just starting out in the uk. i happily took full responsibility for all uk content of youth mobile portal uboot.com. unfortunately, after building a community of 5 million users across europe, uboot was forced to close it's uk office due to shareholder pressures and the ever-increasing costs of delivering mobile services from the internet.
i then worked as a freelance editor/designer with a number of clients including moov.tv (graphics for 'v graham norton'), uboot.com, V2 records and others.
i then joined freeserve, just before the 'wanadoo' rebrand. after 6 months working in the online services department of wanadoo, i was approached again by ucp morgen (recently acquired by qpass). i am now content manager for qpass europe, handling mobile content for clients including yahoo! in uk and germany.
